For students

The study side is for students in Pakistan and anyone preparing for the same exams. It puts what you need for revision in one place.

• Past papers from Pakistani education boards, filtered by board, class, subject and year.
• Practice questions topic by topic for Classes 9 to 12 and for entry tests such as MDCAT, ECAT and the NUST Entry Test, with an explanation for every answer. Practise one by one or take a timed test.
• Syllabus and paper patterns, so you know what to expect in each subject.
• Revision material for IELTS, NEBOSH and ACCA, with notes, questions and practice tasks.
• Calculators for percentage, CGPA, merit and IELTS band, plus a word counter and a unit converter.
• Scholarship news, short summaries of current scholarships with a link to the full details.

File tools

There are 50 free tools for PDFs, photos, audio and video. They run inside your browser, so the file you choose is not sent to a server to be worked on.

Most online file converters work the other way: you send them the file, their server does the job, and you download the result. For a passport scan, a signed contract, a bank statement or a private recording, that is a poor trade. Modern browsers can read and rewrite PDFs, resize and convert images, decode audio and run a video encoder, so the work can happen on your device and the file never has to travel.

What you can rely on

• No account and no sign up.
• No daily limit on how many files you process.
• Files you select in the tools are processed in your browser and are not uploaded for processing.
• Where a tool has a real limit, such as the size of a video your device can hold in memory, the page says so.

Visiting the website still involves ordinary web requests and measurement, which the privacy policy describes in full.

Who runs it

The site is operated by Syed Aalishan Asghar and designed and developed by aaliSoft. You can reach the operator at [email protected]. The contact page explains what is most useful to include.

How the site is paid for

Using the site is free. Hosting and upkeep are paid by the operator, and the site may show advertising from Google AdSense to help cover them. Ads are placed between sections and never over the tools, and nothing about the content of your files is used for ads, because the content never reaches the site.

Built on open source software

The tools are made possible by open source projects. The main ones are pdf-lib and PDF.js for PDF pages, Tesseract.js for text recognition, ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly for video, lamejs for MP3 encoding, gifenc for GIFs, heic-to for iPhone photos, docx-preview for Word documents and qrcode-generator for QR codes. Each is used under its own licence.

Independent site

brodidit is not part of any examination board, university or awarding body. Exam, board and product names belong to their owners. For exam rules, dates and results, always check with your board, school or the exam body.
