How to combine scanned pages into one PDF

Flatbed scanners and phone scanner apps love producing one file per page. Anyone receiving fourteen separate attachments will not thank you.

Merge PDFs
Whichever tool you use here, the file stays on your device. How that works

Step by step

  1. 1Add all the page files to the merge tool.
  2. 2Check the order in the list, and use the arrows to move any page that landed in the wrong place.
  3. 3Merge them into one document.
  4. 4Open the result to confirm the page order before you send it.

Order is where this goes wrong

Scanners name files in ways that sort oddly, so page 10 often lands before page 2. The list shows each file with its page count, which makes a misplaced page easy to spot before you merge rather than after.

If your pages arrived as images rather than PDFs, use the image to PDF tool instead. It does the same job starting from photos.

Merging does not touch the pages themselves. Text stays selectable, links keep working, and nothing is recompressed.

Questions

Can I merge a mix of PDFs and photos?

Convert the photos to a PDF first, then merge that with the rest.

Is there a file limit?

None set by us. Your device memory is the only real limit.

Will the quality change?

No. Pages are copied across untouched.
